As a comprehensive research-oriented university, the University of Nicosia can engage across multiple dimensions beyond student mobility.
The University of Nicosia Global Semesters is focused on building comprehensive partnerships with universities that are focused on the following long-term initiatives:
Education Abroad
Familiarization Visits
Annually, either to an existing program site for repeating programs (for Program Coordination) or across network (for Familiarization Purposes).
Advisory Committee Membership
Members of both our general committee and disciplines or geographies will be staffed from Global Partners.
Curriculum Integration
We will identify courses within specific academic pathways for pre-approval, match these to home university courses, and customize where necessary to match home university curricular needs.
Scholarships and Program Development
Group cost savings can be passed on to students or used to fund program development activities.

Joint Degrees, Joint Marketing
We will aim to match up academic departments in relevant areas of mutual interest. The University of Nicosia Global Semesters will pro-actively circulate all relevant academic, research, grant, joint degree and joint marketing opportunities among our Global Partners.
The University of Nicosia can support Faculty-Led, Custom, Embedded and First Year Experience Programs that are completely tailored to the needs of our University Partners. Services include, as needed: end-to-end academic programming, student support services, enrollment services, invoicing and risk management.
Teaching Facilities
The University of Nicosia in Cyprus in Nicosia has a vibrant campus with extensive research and teaching facilities (Medical, Veterinary, Media, Science, Engineering, etc.) that are made available for short-term programs in Cyprus.
The University of Nicosia in Athens is located in Elliniko, on the Athens Riviera. The campus has a direct metro connection to central Athens. The UNIC Athens building at The Ellinikon integrates advanced teaching, clinical simulation, cadaver lab, and laboratory facilities with UNIC Evolve’s AI, biotechnology and human-health research infrastructure.
Housing
Premium dorms or hotels or shared apartments near or on the university campus.
Co-Curricular Activities
Site visits tailored to the program’s academic objectives. Our experienced program managers handle all site visit arrangements.
Extra-Curricular Activities
Out of town cultural and sightseeing activities every weekend. Students stay in 3-star hotels and travel by charter bus.
Program Design
University of Nicosia Global Semesters staff will organize and manage all aspects of the program. US faculty (if part of the program) only have to concern themselves with academic aspects.

* If your home institution has a direct billing agreement with GS, these scholarships and discounts may not apply, or may have different deadlines. Please consult your GS advisor for more details.
Airfare to Florence
Airfare from the United States (New York) to Florence can range between $850 and $1,300, depending on the season and how far in advance the ticket was purchased. Connecting flights from other cities in the United States can add between $0 and $400 to this cost. We encourage students to finalize travel arrangements as early as possible to avoid high airfares.
Airport Pickup
UNGS will arrange to pick up students on the arrival date for the program. Students who arrive in Florence before the designated arrival date are responsible for arranging their own transportation and housing. All enrolled students will receive the pickup information prior to the start of the study abroad program.
