Semester in Cyprus: Art and Design

You can study architecture and interior design in our award-winning Architecture building, work with advanced 3-D printers and laser equipment, and learn about cutting-edge topics like crisis architecture and design.

Fine art students have access to multiple museums and galleries on the island, and can see how thousands of years of culture translate into works of art on display.

Graphic communications and applied multimedia students can work on interface design, game design and development, animation, and project management. Graphic communications students have access to courses in design studio, storyboarding, animation, 3D modeling, and modern art.

Students choose courses for up to 30 ECTS from the catalog of regularly scheduled Spring and Fall semester courses offered at the University of Nicosia.

• Courses designated as Erasmus, and with codes MED, EDUC, NUTR, SOWK, and BENG are not available to study abroad students.
• Undergraduate students are only eligible for course numbers 100-499.
• Practicum courses are approved on a case-by-case basis only.

Credit-Bearing Research Projects / Internships are a great way to engage with the international academic research community working on projects that span a wide variety of disciplines and innovative areas of research, develop skills to conduct academic research, have the flexibility to build your schedule around already existing work and school commitments, obtain academic credit for your work, build your resume and make lasting connections for your future academic and work careers.

1. Complete an Application

Choose the Research Project Internship for which You Would Like to Apply:

• Include the Name of the Research Project Internship for which You Would Like to Apply along with a
  Statement of Interest in your Online Application Form
• Upload an Unofficial Copy of Your Transcript
• Email a Copy of Your Resume to: admissions@globalsemesters.com

2. Wait for confirmation of match for the Research Internship Project for which you have applied.

Students on our programs travel all around Cyprus as part of their program. Cyprus has 12,000 years of cultural history, world-famous beaches, and world-renowned geology.

* Some trips may not be possible due to Government regulations.

Housing is randomly assigned. We try to house students from the same home institutions together when possible.

For any special housing requests, please speak with your Global Semesters enrollment advisor by the deadline for completing your Enrollment Forms.

• Once admitted to the program, we cannot guarantee your place on the program until your Confirmation Deposit is received.
• Confirmation Deposits are due as soon as possible after your admission to the program to secure your place in the program, and we do not recommend waiting for the deadline, because places in the program are allocated based on Confirmation Deposits received, on a rolling basis. When all places have been secured with Confirmation Deposits, the remaining non-deposited students will be placed on a waitlist. This may occur before the Confirmation Deposit deadline.
• There is an additional refundable damage deposit of $250, and a mandatory insurance of $200 that are not included in program fees.

• Early Deposit Scholarships can only apply in cases where students submit their confirmation deposits directly to Global Semesters.
