Global Health Virtual Experience (Course + Internship)
The Summer Global Health Virtual Experience is a Virtual Program for Pre-Professional Health Students (Medical, Nursing, Dental, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy) which includes 30 Hours of Medical Terminology and 45 Hours of Virtual Internship and Clinical Experience.
Students will have the opportunity to experience and understand clinical communication and interaction among healthcare professionals and patients, and gain skills through interactive practical sessions delivered by faculty practitioners from primary care, nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, and clinical communication and psychology.
Additionally, students will learn about the role that culture plays in healthcare systems and approaches, and how this can shape health outcomes, as well as understand national healthcare systems and compare and contrast early-stage vs. mature systems.
Students enroll in 1 Course + Internship and earn 10 ECTS for this Virtual Summer Program:
Medical Terminology (4 ECTS)
Healthcare, Clinical Skills & Clinical Communication – Internship (6 ECTS)
The study program will begin on July 5, 2021, and end on July 30, 2021.
